Barry Bonds is now just three homers away from breaking Hank Aaron's all-time record.
Take a look at this chart which looks at some of the players suspected of using steroids. Interesting stuff. In my mind, there's no doubt that Bonds (and many others) took performance-enhancing substances of some sort. As a baseball purist who wishes he could have experienced the days when there were three teams in New York City, it troubles me to think that the greatest record in the game is going to be held by an individual with an undeniably tainted resume. What's even sadder is that we'll probably never know the truth.
