A few things to share on this cold Thursday afternoon. First off, I have been told that Karl Hobbs will be at the Colonial Army barbecue on Saturday before the Mount St. Mary's game. The event will start at 11 a.m. at Veteran's Park, which is on F Street next to GW Deli. The barbecue is free for Colonial Army members and $5 for everyone else.
Second, I just spoke to WRGW News Director Mallory Thompson, who is also a member of the Colonial Brass. She informed me that a tradition has started involving Travis King: after Colonials Invasion and the women's exhibition game against DT-3, King came up to the band afterwards and challenged the drummer to a drum-off. Word is King also can play the trombone. Keep an eye out for another face-off at the Smith Center sometime in the near future.
