As noted earlier, the College Hoops 2K7 scheduling system requires a minimum number of games scheduled. Therefore, we manually added a game at UNC earlier (in which GW lost by 5) and tonight's game against Providence. GW is 7-2 going into this game, a far cry from the actual state of affairs this season. Hopefully, the problem of being able to substitute for the away team will no longer be a problem, although we have yet to come up with a solution. Starting lineups to come.
For GW:
G Travis King
G Maureece Rice
G Damian Hollis
F Wynton Witherspoon
F Joseph Katuka
For Providence:
G Jeff Xavier
G Sharaud Curry
G Weyinmi Efejuku
F Geoff McDermott
F Jonathan Kale
Another convincing win for GW as they conquer the Friars by a final score of 85-56. The full court trap seemed to work to perfection as Providence turned the ball over 20 times. GW was led by four players who scored in double figures: Rob Diggs had 19 points, Rice had 18, Witherspoon had 12 along with 8 rebounds, and Jabari Edwards had a break-out game with 12 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Katuka only scored 4 points had 7 rebounds, so this impressive perfomance by Rob Diggs may lead to some controversy as to who deserves the starting center job. Longwood is next.
