*Note- this is a video game simulation. None of the following actually happened in real-life. If it does, it is by pure coincidence.
After a "too good to be true" win against Auburn, the 2007-08 campaign will continue its college hoops 2K7 simulation this evening as the Colonials will face Maryland-Eastern Shore. To update the Colonials progress on College Hoops 2K7, the team is 4-2 only losing to #7 UCLA and #1 UNC (who was manually scheduled to reach minimum number of games required). Tip is scheduled for 11:38 p.m. this evening, but may change due to academic considerations of the last week of classes. Starting line-ups to come.
GW:
G - Travis King
G - Maureece Rice
F - Damian Hollis
F - Wynton Witherspoon
C - Joseph Katuka
UMES:
G - Ed Tyson
G - Josh Bright
F - Ishmawiyl Mcfadden
F - Brandon Moore
C - Aleksander Popovic
GW owns this won, winning by a final score of 96-47. It was a team effort by a Colonials team that dominated the entire 40 minutes of the game. GW had 6 players in double digits and were led, particularly in the early going, by the brilliant and efficient play of Wynton Witherspoon who had 20 points on 7 for 8 shooting from the field. Joseph Katuka, in his second career start, posted a double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Although UMES was dominated in nearly every facet of the game, their guards played well with Tyson scoring 17 and Bright scoring 14. Perimeter defense is something the Colonials will need to improve upon heading into the remainder of the non-conference season.
