I love music, so much so that I have many days' worth of it in my iTunes library. The nominees for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards were released earlier today, which is always exciting.
(Thanks to Wikipedia, I've found the answer as to how Record of the Year is different from Song of the Year. Turns out the latter is based solely on songwriting, while the first includes the production process. Makes sense.)
Anyhow, I am a big fan of Kanye West's Graduation. It's a lot different from his first two albums, but it still works. 'Good Morning' and 'Flashing Lights' are as good as anything he's ever done. In addition, I really like Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace by the Foo Fighters ('The Pretender' is the background music we use in our women's basketball introduction). I hope Kanye wins a few awards, especially considering everything he's been through lately, but I wouldn't be surprised if Amy Winehouse does well. Everybody seems to loves her regardless of what she does.
The best category might be Best Rap Song. How does one choose between 'Ayo Technology' and 'Good Life,' among others? Tough decision, my friends.
