Even though the Colonials have yet to win a road contest, that will not deter both Greg and myself with continuing the live-blogging of GW's season. Tonight the Colonials face the Rams of Fordham. Here are the starting lineups:
Fordham:
G - Kevin Anderson
G - Brenton Butler
G - Marcus Stout
F - Sebastian Greene
F - Bryant Dunston
GW:
G - Maureece Rice
G - Wynton Witherspoon
F - Damian Hollis
F - Cheyenne Moore
F - Rob Diggs
If only the Colonials could play a effectively live as they have been in their simulated season starting out the game on a 26-4 while using a stifling full-court press defense that caused 11 first-half turnovers to lead GW to a 82-48 victory over the Rams. Xavier Alexander (who ironically is not playing in real life) came off the bench to drop 20 at the Rose Hill while Damian Hollis netted 15. Bryant Dunston led Fordham with 12 who struggled all night and could never recover from a weak start. It is getting a little pathetic that the video game version of the Colonials is giving the team a semi-blueprint of how to start generating offense by creating turnovers and becoming more of a fast-break team. Keep it here as we are back on track and will have the Xavier simulation before the game begins.
