RECRUITING UPDATE: Devonte Elliott (CLASS OF 2009)

Acoording to West-Coast recruiting analyst Greg Hicks of Scout.com, George Washington has made an offer to Devonte Elliott a 6-9 210 lb forward from Paramount High-School in California. Hicks wrote this about Elliott:

Devonte Elliott, 6-8 PF Paramount (Calif.) High: Elliott had a very good showing the first day, playing as aggressively as we’ve seen him. His shot is getting pretty good out to 16-17 feet and he’s got a significant upside with his length and athleticism. Look for high majors to jump on him this month.

Elliott is another guy that projects very well. He knocked down a three yesterday. If he can start doing that consistently, to go with his considerable athleticism (he’s dunking everything in this camp), he’ll be hearing from numerous high majors.

Devonte Elliott said he’s been hearing from Washington, UC Irvine, Pacific, UC Santa Barbara and George Washington. He said George Washington has offered.

If this holds true, than the 2-star athletic forward could be a fantastic get for Karl Hobbs' 2009 recruiting class. He would also be the second player in as many years to come from the west coast with Aaron Ware of this year's class coming from Bishop Montgomery High School in California.
