Xavier Basketball 2008-09

When you lose Drew Lavender, Stanley Burrell and Josh Duncan, it is only natural to assume that your roster is going to be less talented the year afterwards, but in the case of Xavier, the recent addition of Jordan Crawford might be the final move that ultimately makes them a better team this season. Consider that Crawford who averaged almost 10ppg with the Hoosiers will be joining Kenny Frease, Terrell Holloway, Mark Lyons, Brad Redford and Brian Walsh. All five of these incoming freshmen are three star recruits or better and when you add in Tulsa transfer Jamal McLean and Hillsdale transfer Andrew Taylor, the realization becomes clear: Xavier has an abundance of incoming talent to play with the likes of B.J. Raymond, C.J. Anderson, Derrick Brown, Jason Love and Dante Jackson.
