Women unanimous preseason favorites

The GW women's basketball team is a unanimous selection to finish first in the Atlantic 10 in the annual preseason poll, which was released today. The Colonials received all 17 votes from the participating coaches and media members.

Senior Kimberly Beck and junior Jessica Adair were selected to the preseason first team all-conference squad, while senior Sarah-Jo Lawrence was picked on the second team. Beck, the reigning defensive player of the year, and senior Whitney Allen were also selected for the all-defensive team.

This marks the third consecutive year in which Beck has received preseason first team honors. Here are the selections:
